"On Sunday night we had a fireside and it was really awesome. A few things that stood out to me, the Lord is mindful of his children. Have faith and confidence he is there. Next, we can have sure faith through the Book of Mormon and prayer. We are promised so many times in the Book of Mormon that if we have sincere desires and sincere heart and faith that we can have knowledge of all things. One of my newly found favorite scriptures is Jacob 4: 6-7. We can have the power and strength to move mountains or waves of the sea through having hope and faith. How amazing is that! It just shows to me if we can do that through faith and hope, then why couldn't we do smaller things like missionary work for two years, or get answers to our little prayers.
Prayer is such a great habit to obtain. I have struggled in the MTC, but from my constant prayers, asking for strength and lots of other things, I have found comfort and I know that your prayers will be answered. I have noticed my weaknesses so easily here and without Heavenly Father I am nothing. If you have time read the talk, "Character of Christ" by David A. Bednar, it will truly change your life.
Testimonies are not enough. If we only have a testimony, when trails and challenges come up, we will fall away. We have to truly be converted to the gospel. "Who you are, far more important than what you say."
I know I have been called of God by a prophet and that there are certain people that need to hear my voice, and who are specifically prepared for me to teach. I love the Lord and the gospel. It is so amazing and everyone needs to hear about it!"
